A commission by musician/artist Yoshi Sodeoka to make a video for his noise composition "THRESH0.767". Responding to the track's sporadic composition, I created a generative video editing system that assigns random wipes and video tracks to specific sound signatures. The footage was captured with an early solid state digital video camera, producing low resolution, short duration and heavily compressed footage that seemed compatible with the corrupt and noisy sensibility of the music. The desired effect was nostalgic digital video clips being torn apart by the increasingly aggressive and accumulating soundscape.
Included in Yoshi Sodeoka's experimental noise/ambient video album "Noise Driven Ambient Audio And Visuals."
